A Retreat Rooted in Presence

Spring is not just a season, it is a spiritual doorway.
The Spring Equinox and the Astrological New Year (just days before our retreat) invite us into balance, awakening, and renewed clarity. It is a potent time for releasing what is heavy and stepping into lightness and intention.

Stepping Into the Year of the Horse

In the Chinese Zodiac, the Lunar New Year begins in February, meaning we arrive at this retreat having recently crossed into the Year of the Horse.

The Horse represents freedom, vitality, intuition, forward movement, and living fully in the present moment. Horses invite us out of stagnation and into embodied awareness—asking us to move through life with authenticity, heart, and trust in our inner rhythm.

It is no coincidence that this retreat centers around presence with the horses.

Meditating alongside these powerful, intuitive animals offers a rare opportunity to experience the Horse’s wisdom directly. Horses live entirely in the now. They respond not to words, but to energy—mirroring our nervous system, our emotional state, and our truth with clarity and compassion.

As we step into spring, the Astrological New Year, and the Year of the Horse, this retreat becomes a portal for releasing what weighs us down, returning to the present moment, and moving forward with clarity and trust.

As Eckhart Tolle reminds us:
“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.”

This retreat is designed to help you remember that truth.

Over three days, we move through a gentle arc:

Day 1 – Release & Detoxify
A sacred evening of grounding, slowing down, and letting your body soften. We open with a detoxifying sacred foot-washing ritual, sound healing, and space to unwind and arrive fully.

Day 2 – Presence, Connection & the Horses
A day devoted to mindful embodiment, nourishment, and relational presence with yourself, with other women, and with the horses. Through Meadowtation at Hudson Valley Horse Play, you’ll experience how horses mirror our energy and invite us deeper into authentic self-awareness.

Day 3 – Intentions for Spring
A morning of movement, reflection, and clarity as we shape intentions aligned with the energy of the season: renewal, rebirth, and fresh beginnings.
